I believe in God, the Father almighty, creator of heaven and earth.

Langham Partnership is committed to the fundamental truths of historic biblical Christianity, in accordance with which we affirm:

1. There is one, eternal God, Creator and Lord of the universe who, in the unity of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, both governs all things according to God’s will and is accomplishing God’s purpose in the world and in the church.

2. The Holy Scripture in its entirety is inspired by God’s Spirit through human authors and constitutes the revelation of God’s truth to humanity. It is wholly true and trustworthy in all that it affirms. Whatever the Bible, rightly interpreted, is found to teach, we are bound to believe and obey. It is our supreme authority in every matter of belief and conduct.

3. All human beings are created in God’s own likeness and therefore have inherent value and equality before God. Human sin and guilt since the fall have rendered us subject to God’s wrath and condemnation and have resulted in our alienation from God’s life, suppression of God’s truth and hostility to God’s law. God’s love desires all to come to repentance and to be reconciled rather than condemned.

4. Salvation from the guilt, penalty and all other consequences of sin has been achieved solely through the work of Jesus Christ – his perfect obedience, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection and exaltation as Lord. Jesus alone is truly God and truly human, the only mediator between God and humanity. There is salvation through no other person, creed, process or power. Each sinner is justified before God and reconciled to God only by divine grace appropriated by faith alone.

5. The work of the Holy Spirit is necessary for the individual’s new birth and growth to maturity. The Holy Spirit empowers and indwells the church, enabling its constant renewal in truth, wisdom, faith, holiness, love, ministry, power and mission.

6. There is one, holy, universal and apostolic church, which is the Body of Christ, and to which all true believers belong. The church’s calling is to worship God forever and to serve God in the world.

7. As the Father sent the Son into the world, so the Lord Jesus Christ sends his church to participate in God’s mission by words and works. The church is called: to make Christ known; to proclaim God’s truth and the gospel of God’s grace; to make disciples among all nations; to exhibit God’s character through compassionate care for the needy; to demonstrate the reality of God’s kingdom through creative and sacrificial living, the community of love, the quest for righteousness, justice and peace, and the care of God’s creation.
8. As the Lord Jesus ascended to his Father, so he will return personally, visibly and in glory. He will raise the dead and bring salvation and judgment to final completion. God will then fully establish his Kingdom and finish the new creation – a new heaven and a new earth from which all evil and evildoers, all suffering and death, will be excluded and in which God will be glorified forever.

Marriage between a man and a woman was instituted by God with Adam and Eve. Genesis 2:24 states: “Therefore a man leaves his father and his mother and cleaves to his wife, and they become one flesh.” In Matthew 19:4-5, Jesus reaffirms this: “He answered, ‘Have you not read that he who made them from the beginning made them male and female,’ and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one’?”

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict men of sin, righteousness, and judgment: to give testimony of Jesus Christ, to show us things to come, to quicken to our remembrance the Word of God, to enliven our mortal bodies and to indwell and empower the believer as the fulfiller of the New Covenant. We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit according to Acts 2:4 as a distinct, recognizable, and empowering spiritual experience which releases to, and immerses the believer ‘in’ Christ’s resurrection power; that the believer might fulfill God’s intention for character, anointing, love, power, and service. The baptism is the overflow of Christ’s work and is appropriated by faith. (John 14:16-17, John 14:26, John 16:7-14, Acts 2:4, Ro. 8:11, Acts 8:17, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6) We believe in the vital working and manifestation of the Holy Spirit in these last days in and through the Church. This includes all the five ascension gift ministries (Ep. 4:11-13) as they are restored to the church, all the charismatic gifts of the Spirit (I Co. 12, Ro. 12), and the fruit of the Spirit (Ga. 5:22-23).  Through saving grace and the empowering of the indwelling Spirit, man  can come back to God’s original intention for co-laborers in the earth in the demonstration and manifestation of supernatural power. (Ep. 4:11-13, Acts 3:19- 21, I Co. chapters 12-14, Ga. 5:22-23, Ro. 8:17, Re. 2:26-28, Jo. 14:12, Re. 3:21, I Co. 6:2-3)

Some would say, historically, all evangelical churches are reformed. But in the colloquialism of church language, when someone asks the question “are you reformed” they are usually referring to belief in and focus on predestination or Hyper Calvinism. We are not Calvinists. We believe the Scripture describes a new Christian as a spiritual baby. Believers are called to grow in grace and in the knowledge of Jesus Christ. This growing process is called sanctification. Sanctification is a present reality as well as an ongoing process. The first is the result of the finished work of Christ, the latter, the result of work of the indwelling Spirit. The fullest meaning of sanctification is that Jesus Christ is made unto us sanctification. That is, He creates in us what He is Himself. We believe Jesus Christ is returning for a Bride in the image of her Bridegroom. The primary work of the Holy Spirit is to prepare and equip the Bride to meet her Bridegroom. (He. 10:10, I Co. 1:30, I Th. 4:3-4, I Pe. 1:2, I Th. 5:23, Ep. 5:26, Jo. 17:17, He. 13:12, Re. 21:2)

Abortion is considered a grievous sin by the historic orthodox church, and also by Kings’ Church. We believe that a child in the womb is a life given by God, and it is to be protected (Psalm 139:13, Psalm 22:10, Luke 1:4, Gen 25:22), Accordingly, we believe abortion is one of the greatest sins of our time, and any medical product that is derived from such a horrific practice, if discovered, should be rejected by the believer (Ephesians 5:11, Romans 13:12, 2 Corinthians 6:14).
